Dana understands the importance of performance and perseverance. Throughout a diversified career, she has partnered with others to create significant organizational value and build exceptional cultures. Dana has developed Board members and executives to manage change, improve organizational performance, and increase profitability. She has coached hundreds of professionals who are flourishing in their roles and impacting organizations and communities today.
Dana’s extensive corporate experience and empathy provide her with multiple lenses to appreciate and support her clients’ aspirations. She helps leaders sharpen their own resilience and agility by bringing her deep listening skills and rich business background to the coaching relationship. Dana has seen companies from the perspective of operating businesses and private equity/venture capital as well as throughout full economic cycles. She has also acquired new businesses, liquidated a company, and sold two publicly traded organizations.

Human Capital
Dana brings strong CHRO skills and deep human capital expertise with a special emphasis on leadership effectiveness, talent management, and all aspects of organizational development. She has worked closely with multiple C-Suites on strategic initiatives and challenging transactions and recognizes the importance of sound Board governance and oversight. Dana has supported Boards in many areas including the “Social” in ESG, culture shaping, executive compensation, CEO succession, new Board member acquisition and onboarding, and Board performance.
From 2017-2020, she was CHRO for Hannon Armstrong, where she established the HR function for the first U.S. public company solely dedicated to investments in climate change solutions. From 2014-2017, Dana was CHRO for publicly traded American Capital (private equity and global asset management) and its public affiliates. While at American Capital, Dana also offered strategic advisory services and consultation to its portfolio companies spanning numerous industries. She partnered with executives to consummate the organization’s sale to Ares Capital in January 2017. From 2006–2014, Dana worked at publicly traded CapitalSource in the following positions: Vice President of HR, Senior Vice President of HR, and Senior Vice President of HR and Corporate Marketing. Dana was intimately involved in the sale of CapitalSource to PacWest Bancorp in April 2014.
Prior to 2006, Dana led human resources at subsidiaries of Constellation Energy and Sylvan Learning Systems and worked in various positions domestically and overseas for Citicorp earlier in her career.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science in Organizational Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Dana is a public speaker and has been featured in or contributed to publications such as SmartCEO magazine, Employee Benefit News, the Washington Post, and Washington Business Journal. She was named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women by The Daily Record for her professional achievement, community leadership, and mentoring.
